Actually, the bowl in that link is different than my stainless steel bowl. Mine has nothing in the center, just a little latch that the dough hook attaches to.
Drew, the metal bowl has a much larger capacity than the plastic bowl, at least on the model that I have. The plastic bowl has a cone in the center, which basically gives you a donut shaped bowl, whereas the metal bowl is completely a full bowl. Plus its definitely taller, and looks look it has a bigger diameter as well.

Hi Dan, first of all my k9 filter blocks out the forum section so I can`t submit this via the forums.
I found a place that you can buy the the stainless steel bosch 6.5 bowel for 79.99 shipped.
Now it does not come with a cover and splash ring but I called bosch -1800 my bosch- and they said the the cover and splash ring that the mixer comes with for the plastic bowel will work for the metal one as well.
If you look around the price is like 139 and up bec it is with the cover and splash ring.
So here is the link and if you feel it is worth putting it up please do so.

BTW I asked them about making heavy dough (challah) in the plastic bowel and they said it is fine and the reason for the metal bowel is if you want to use it foe hot stuff etc..
