American Tourister Wheeled Boarding Bag For $46.99 Shipped From Amazon

Ultra low cost carriers like Frontier and Spirit have long charged a carry-on fee. However they still allow a free personal item and this bag qualifies as a personal item. Other airlines like American and United have added basic economy fees that don’t allow for carry-ons, but still allow a free personal item.

  • Large main compartment provides easy access to contents
  • Large front panel pockets for additional packing capacity
  • Convenient hideaway id tag
  • Lightweight beveled push-button locking handle
  • 17.0×13.0x8.0

Hate to say it dan, this sounds so freaking desperate

    • Huh?

What are you talking about? What’s desperate about advertising a bag that fits below the seat?

Does this bag work for united and aa too?

    • Dan

Should work as a personal item on all airlines.

How do I get the Amex Rewards offer .01¢ to get the 20%

        • Dan

          IcelandAir does not restrict carry-ons.

let me rephrase, iceland air will allow Carry-On + personal item (Wheeled Boarding Bag) ?

          • Mom

And what about WOW? Does that qualify under ‘all’ ?

I fly a few times a week and I’ve been using this bag on all airlines for the past year or so. I’ve never had a problem even on a basic Economy ticket. Another benefit is that it fits under the seat in front of you so you never have to gate check it even when the overhead bins are full, which happens all the times on the small Regional planes that I mostly fly on. Very well made and roomy.
    Regular price is around $79

Any recommendations for other bags that can be used a carry-ons? Something cheaper or better?

    • Moishe

Cheaper? The 10 cent shopping bag from Aldi’s. Better? The $700 dollar boarding bag from Tumi.

      • Moish

All the ones with Mosh in their name are hilarious. While we’re at it:

United’s site says a personal item is 9x10x17.
Wouldn’t this be too big in the 2nd dimension?

I hate to buy and keep multiple bags. Is there a good bag that works for all low cost US airlines, including Allegiant. This one does not work for Allegiant, which requires a 7x15x16 personal item.

Price: went up $63.99 & FREE Shipping

  8. ElAl?

Does this work on elal in addition to regular carry on? Can’t seem to get a straight answer from them in writing.

  9. Jeff

United agent tried to deny this bag but manager came and used some sense and allowed it. Allegiant however reduced their size just enough to deny it. The world has gone crazy.

Does it fit on the MD-88 & MD-90 and the 717 that Delta flies everywhere short haul under the seat ? What about in the tiny tiny overhead bin ?

    • Dan

It should fit in any of those.

Spirit change the size of the dimensions as well, and one of their new numbers doesn’t fits with this bag. Even though you’re allowed a taller bag than this it’s still maybe 1 inch too wide. How strict are they? Spirits new numbers are16 x 14 x 12 inches (40 x 35 x 30 cm) including handles and wheels
