As far as airport lounges they do swipe the card to make sure it is active. As far as car rental status I’m not sure but i would think that you would be able to keep the status
Dan: if you sign up for the Platinum card, and then cancel it, can you still use it to get into airport lounges? (i.e. do they verify the card when you go into the lounge)?
do you get to keep the premium status with the car rental company once you cancel?
