This was $24.99 earlier this week and is now the lowest price ever from Amazon.
I’m a Monopoly purist. No bonuses for snake eyes, no money for free parking (who pays you to park somewhere anyway?!?), no bonus for landing on Go. The extra money is the reason people have the misconception that the game takes forever. If you play with the rules as they were actually designed without all of the handouts, people go bankrupt quickly and the game ends within an hour.
Hasbro ruined Monopoly for me with the current version. They changed the chance and community chest cards, changed the luxury tax, changed the dark purple properties to brows, and changed the income tax structure. Hasbro even managed to destroy Guess Who in the latest version of it, and that takes talent! They should take some lessons from New Coke, you just can’t improve on something classic.
