I had placed 2 orders on Brooks Brothers.com using gift cards before I saw the discount code BC 1818. I Emailer customer service asking if they could retroactively apply the code to my 2 orders. I got an email response saying that that the code was only for people opening a new brooksbrothers credit card, so they would not apply to my orders. I already placed a third order using the code and it works just fine.

I used CardCash and at first got denied . Ya was annoying Though I placed my order again with another payment method and went thru! Makes sense they screen every order since I’m sure these scammer stealing credit cards are running over there . Carol was super helpful . If only all companies have employees like her.
Order was also cancelled after being verified. Was told by Carol that “We apologize for this, it seems as though two customers tried to buy the same card at the same time.”

Dan, thank you. It worked perfectly. Bought a $350 gift card from Cardcash and bought 8 shirts and have $12 left over. This is becoming a holiday tradition. Christmas Eve I think it was two years ago, Christmas Day a year or two before that, and Thanksgiving Day this year.
I also waited 4 hours after confirming and speaking with the sales team and they told me that my order is cancelled since its out of stock.

Got 6 card cash gift cards after some time, took a while to go through but eventually it did. Placed an order for 8 shirts using 6 gc’s + $38. The screen refreshed and said that the order didn’t go through for fraud prevention and I should try again. Tried to place the order again, I see all my gift cards are empty and my credit card was charged $38. Wasted all day trying to get this deal, now I have to deal with getting my money back for an order that never went through. Currently out about $250- my credit card will get my money back, but will cardcash refund me for gift cards that didn’t work?
CardCash – scam! I ordered the 4 cards was told I was confirmed. 2 hours later asked for additional verification and I responded in 2 minutes and then got an email saying they were no longer in stock. This is not my first bad experience with them!

same here put through two orders through cardcash first one paid through paypal and was cancelled immediately for possible “fraud” second was put through and confirmed a few hours ago. I emailed Carol after about a half hour later as she posted on the board she emailed me back telling me that fraud verification team was working on my account? I get a text to verify about an hour later i almost immediately verify and i get the following email right afterwords.

while I understand that they were overwhelmed their computer system should not have sold and confirmed showing in stock unless they had in stock at the time of the sale, and if they did then those cards should have been reserved until after they completed the verification process.
Just followed the directions and everything worked exactly as described. Promo code brought the 4 for $200 down by around $29. Went to card cash – had to refresh the site around 4 or 5 times before the $35.10 for $50 gift card option showed up, put 3 of them in my cart, used the 5% off code and checked out via paypal. Paid $101 for $150 worth of gift cards. Got the ecards in my inbox within 10 minutes. Applied all 3 codes to my order easily. Paid an extra $19 (the total was $169), and that was it. Ended up spending $120 for 4 dress shirts. Great deal!!
What a scam! Shame on you. I ordered the 4 cards was told I was confirmed. Then CardCash itself 2 hours later asked for additional verification(not my credit card) I responded in 2 minutes and then got an email saying they were no longer in stock. This is beyond unethical and you should be ashamed to be getting a kickback from them. Disgrace. I am thinking hard and fast about intiating a complaint with credit card companies and small claims. This is a disgrace.
Dan – You may want to give some warning on the Card Cash process. I am beyond livid here. Would have been helpful if I was expecting these possibilities. You place the order and wait and wait. Luckily they hit the forum to respond tot he frustrated subscribers that it takes time… but offered to try and expedite if you email. I email the first address and get a response that the address is closed. I see a second address later. I send there and am told they are backlogged and need to wait for their fraud team to approve the order. No explanation of that process. About 2 hours later… I get a call asking me to confirm… and it does not accept my DTF tone. So they email me to go online and initiate a new call. I do… nothing happens. I do a 2nd time and it calls to verify. I follow the verification procedure. You would think after all that time and effort all would be well! NO! Then I get an email they cannot fulfill my order as they all sold out! What in the world? They had 65 cards available. They make me go through a 2 – 3 hours wait and verification process only to tell me they no longer have what I ordered all the way back then? Of course in the interim I signed up for Brooks Brothers and spent the time getting my shoprunner account in order. All for nothing as I cannot fully execute the deal. They hit my card for a verification hold immediately upon order… there is no reason they should sell out between my order and them getting around to verify me. Still, had I been forewarned of this process and these possibilities… perhaps I would not be nearly as frustrated as I am now in colossal waste of time this was. I did not realize it was a crap shoot so that I could make an informed decision to proceed or not. I thought when I place an order and they put a hold on my card… the transaction will eventually go through. I am very very disappointed.

Just put in an order for 4 shirts. After entering 4 gift card codes, totaling $167, and clicking confirm order, one of the shirts went out of stock. The website went back to the cart and I had to edit my order. Upon editing the order, and going to checkout again, the gift card balances had been charged and the money is gone! Brooks Brothers customer service is on vacation and I am stuck with 3 empty gift cards now…
