I just went today to the Lakewood Costco and signed up my wife(Beacuse I’m current member-expiring in a few weeks) in store with showing them the website. Guy had no idea what to do comma and just gave me the $20 gift card on the spot
I just called Costco and they said the NHMBASE code is not valid.
I got a penny discount with this code… NHMBASE gave a discount of $0.01
So i entered NHMEXEC during sign up and it dropped the price by $0.01. The cash card is mailed separately? I don’t see anything to tell me that.

Still waiting to see if the rumors of Costco coming to Owings Mill (suburb of Baltimore) is true. Supposed to be announced within a week. If not, it’s just not worth it with BJ’s and Sam’s so close by.

@bubs I was at Costco a couple of weeks ago and as I checked out I was offered an upgrade to executive membership for about $18-$20. I got coupons for a lot of items ($6 off meat- worked on kosher!), free batteries, coffee.. In that one trip alone with the 2% back I made my money back.

@Anonymous: No, not considered a new member. But mine had expired 5 months ago, and i talked them into giving the $20 cash card to me as a courtesy for signing back up.
