I am trying to order this online and it is priced at 149.99
@ZH Cohen:
Hhmm, How do I go about doing that without really paying anything? The company won’t mind if I port out my number a week after joining?
@WingIt: It has Vz’s CDMA ad LTE bands, but not aggregation.
@CtownBin: Worst case, you can set up a prepaid line with another carrier and then immediately switch it.
@Anonymous:
It’s not really an MVNO- it’s Truphone, which is a roaming SIM not really based in the US. I’d also rather not lose that line.
The main question remains- can I sign up for Sprint’s promotion, without bringing a line, if I just bring a phone?
@CtownBin: See comment #17
@CtownBin: Don’t be so sure MVNO won’t help
Got one, thanks!
@Zh cohen:
Really? So if I buy this phone, I can then activate on Sprint for the free year- even if I don’t currently have a line or number to bring in from another major carrier? (I currently use a prepaid MVNO which I’m sure wouldn’t help).

Does it say? How much of built-in memory the phone has? Can you remove/replace the battery?
Got it a few months ago used with page plus Verizon now just switched with it to sprint for free year
This phone works with the free year of Sprint service.
This will work with the recently announced free year of service with Sprint. See Dan’s post unthread.
B&H is at $149
@Ikey: model number not the same asAmazon and 2100 frequency used by golan and hot are not in north american variant. Cellcom frequency is covered by NA frequency. Not sure BH,phone will work on all frequency in israel.
@yehuda: question is whether this phone can take advantage of all the Verizon 4G data bands and legacy CDMA voice channels, and if the device works with Verizon’s carrier aggregation technology.
@eli:
The plan I used is the free international roaming by Sprint. The fee for voice calls are 20¢ per minute in/out to the US and local.
what are the prices when you use it on Cellcom to call the U.S. or to receive incoming calls.
@Gerry: I bought one from B&H and it worked in Israel on Cellcom.
I bought one of these on Amazon around black Friday. It’s a good no frills phone. It’s not my main phone (I have 3 different backup phones,) but I got some for other people and they are happy with them for everyday use.
Used the amazon with ads on Golan- worked perfectly. This one says north American variant? Is it the same ?
Thanks. Just picked one up.
@yingerman: hmm, is verizon one of the major carriers?
will this work with Page plus/ Verizon?
Have this phone since black Friday and it works beautifully. Used it in Israel with Cellcom.
@Sola:
No, the comparable phone from Amazon is $149:
