I got the email saying the 660 was not available and they upgraded me to the 3647. I took it.
I placed the order on 2/11 and only got the upgrade email 10 days later. So i called up and complained and they knocked off $100 from my order. So I ended up paying $100 cheaper than the original deal posted and got an “upgraded” computer, with Windows 8 and 5% back giftcard.

Instead of replying to the email, I spoke to the Order Modification Department @ 800-247-2076 abd they handled the cancellation of old order, and applied my previous payment to new order for upgraded PC. I had failed to use dell advantage for free 2-day shipping and 5% rebate, but they applied it on new ordr.
I was also able to get him to agree to a $50 refund (I have to call them back after receiving PC) because I preferred Win 7 and the long delay since I ordered on 02/10.
I got the same email saying not available and offer a free “upgrade” to WIN 8.1 and 4th Generation Intel® Coreâ„¢ i5-4440 Processor.
I think I will take it. This is a significantly better processor, right?
Anyone know anything about the reviews on Inspiron 3647 vs the original INSPIRON 660S?

The Inspiron 660S is a home version computer with a Window & Pro operating system with a third Gen I5 processor. I ended up calling Dell sales business at 800-456-3355 and spoke with “order modification team”. Told them I already put in the order Inspiron 660S and it was cancelled. Can u upgrade me to the Inspiron 3647 that has Windoews 7 Pro for the same price of $449 VS $599 list? They spoke to manager and said for $499 they can do it. I purchased it. It comes with 4th Gen I5 Processor. See below. Good Luck.

I read all 43 posts. None say that someone actually got the computer. Some they they got notification that it was on its way. I don’t believe anybody got the delivery of the computer. I also got a notofication that it was shipped. See below. In any case I will be taking the Windows 8.1 with the I5-4440 Processor. I still think its a bargain. See below.
