Just so everyone is totally clear, this is a much older model with only 4GB ram (I would never run yosemite on this little ram), no new trackpad, battery on newer model does 2 hours more battery life on average. The newer low entry model has been around 1100-1150$ frequently in the past two months. If you have to get more RAM, the difference would be only abotu 100-150$ max for all that better performance, new trackapd, faster processor, better battery life and probable 1.5 years less depreciation impact.
