You can get MS Office for cheap through something called OEM software. Designed for hardware sellers (like Dell and Lenovo) to put software preinstalled on their machines. Although MS doesn’t allow you to purchase it unless you are a valid reseller, someone else legally purchased it to put on a PC to resell, but then changed their mind and are reselling the license yo you. (In Halacha, a dayan I talked to called it zuta shel yam.)

I personally purchased MS Office through them, and even used the MS help forum with the registration (and got Hebrew dates to work on Excel – which is why I dropped LibreOffice). The only catch is that the key becomes locked to the motherboard, and, when the computer goes, the software goes as well. Which is fine – for that price, in 2 years, when the computer goes, get the newest edition!

Dan, if you’re interested, I can get you some more info on the topic, or perhaps write an article? (I’d prefer not to.) It’s probably something your clientèle should know about at some point. It clearly deserves an article.

    Here’s a linky: http://www.microsoftwin7keysale.org/

I believe it is Microsoft’s own model of g50 that lenovo made for them. Just like Keurig makes their own model for Costco.
However, if you look on Newegg you’ll see the lenovo g50-80 with the same specs as this listed machine for $440
