    Is it worth it to pay more for a better processor?

  2. Dan

    @ari:
    Depends what you need the laptop for.
    For basic internet use and word processing this is perfect.

    Does “basic internet use” include streaming video?

    Is it possible to checkout from staples with multiple CCs? Amex deal…

  5. tt

    Is this much better than the last Toshiba that was posted for 289 dollars

  6. Dan

    @tt:
    This is Windows 7, more RAM, bigger hard drive, etc.

  7. sam

    Do you know the return policy for laptops at staples?

  8. Colors

    Is this the best option? Saw that the code applies for other computers on the staples website as well.

    Dan, what’s the PIN on SER visa gc’s?
    (On package it says that it doesn’t have PIN access. Obviously, that doesn’t have to be true, but I definitely can’t call up and ask them to set a PIN.)

  10. Hunch

    @chuck you can’t add a pin as far as I know.

    Dan, Do you know if I partially pay with staples gift cards (I have 2 $20 Staples gift cards from Staples rebates) and pay the balance with my Amex SPG card would I still be entitled to the extended warrenty / insurance that comes with the card? If not I’ll pay it all on the card.

    Also are there cheap laptop docking stations (possibly generic universal docking station)? I am looking to replace my desktop with a laptop but would like to my regular monitor, keyboard, etc. I know I could just hook up them directly to the laptop but if I even want to sit on the couch with the laptop or travel with it it would be a lot more easier to just unclick it from the docking station. If it would be like $50 or less I’d get it otherwise just I’ll just disconnect the monitor, keyboard, & mouse every time I want to use it away from my desk. Thanks!

    Dan – how does chase ink extended warranty compare to Amex? Would get a little more money back from ink, but if that warranty isn’t comparable then Amex is the obvious choice…

    Beware, trackpad/touchpad is terrible.

  14. question

    If I want a basic laptop is this the best one to get now
