Went to pick up my order after receiving email to pickup order, there was a guy in front who had 4 boxes of lego in his cart and the manager came back saying whole pickup system just shut down nationwide so they cannot fulfill anything, should call back the next day if we don’t receive a second email from them.

For those who do in store pickup, be very careful. Stores have started taking legal action on website glitches this year. There have been a number of cases in New Jersey for things as little as $150.00. Most have been settled, but the ones that haven’t have yet to go through the courts, but who wants the hassle for some free stuff.

That was a completely different scenario. That couple used prepaid debit cards with a $10 balance to scam thousands of dollars in merchandise from Lowes. It’s criminal fraud activity.
A price mistake is not criminal activity. The store has the option to cancel your order. Once you are out the door with your order, they can sue all they want, and they will LOSE.

One of the first things management at toyrus will do when reviewing this fiasco, will be to make reports where the bulk of the traffic was coming from, it wont take long for them to figure out what boropark, crownhights, monroe, willi, monsey & lakewood have in common, Chilluel Hashem befarhesih (degrading god in the eyes of others in a public setting) is a sin you cant do tesuveh on! Legally if you received a package by mail that you didn’t pay for its yours to keep and they can’t ask it back or charge you for it

If they ship to some people but not others , ESP if it’s not a limited stock item or later orders filled before earlier ones, consider a class action lawsuit like the Buy.com monitor case.
If the merchant asks you to return the item or agree to pay more, you can comply but are not required to. The merchant may choose to make legal threats, ESP if the dollar amount is large ….but threats are cheap and we’ve yet to see a large reputable merchant sue a customer over a price mistake the merchant made.
That being said, anyone who did not get packages today I doubt will get any at a later date. They may even en-route packages back to warehouse after discovering that some drop ship items were mailed.
Just got one of the things I ordered. It was shipped directly from Toys R Us. Waiting to see if anything else shows up.

I made a purchase within 10 minutes of the post. Later that night and the next day I received three different cancellation emails from ToysRUs.com. Yesterday, I received three drones!!!

What is the ethical way to go about this if you had something delivered? Has anyone called toysrus to ask about the cancelled orders that were in fact shipped, and if you can keep them?

Sign up for UPS my choice & Fedex Delivery manager (free), once you set your address you can track all packages on the way without tracking numbers. I have received 3 items so far and one is coming Fedex on weds 🙂

Just got a drone and a scooter
I ordered four items. 2 shipped, and 2 canceled. However the two items that were shipped were left in my building and delivered in the morning but when I looked at my tracking number I noticed that later that night, about 12 hours later, it was returned to shipper!!
I called fedex and they said toys r us requested the package back saying it was a wrong address…
How could they do that? How could FedEx or toysrus take back a package that was delivered and in my possession?!
They never sent me a tracking #, where did you get the tracking # from?
Received the organic baby-toddler mattress. Was away and a neighbor put it by my apartment door, away from where shipper’s could reclaim it. Thanks, Dan!
