Just a quick note that this can cause a בשר שנתעלם מן העין shailoh depending on the restaurant:
We ordered (not knowing how it worked) from a fleishig restaurant before Pesach. The restaurant processed it as the customer coming in to pick up their own order and did not seal the bag as they do for takeout. Made things complicated and so it is worth bearing in mind before using this.
Good idea to call the restaurant and let them know that you placed a doordash order and want it sealed.

Quick word of warning: there can be a בשר שנתעלם מן העין shaila with this. We used it last night and had a problem because the restaurant processed it as a customer pick-up, not a delivery (I guess that’s how DoorDash works – not sure) and so they did not seal/tape the bag. This is a problem for fleishigs. In the end we were able to eat it after asking a shaila, but it is an issue to be aware of and it might be worth checking with the restaurants what their policies are on this and placing a follow-up call with them to request the sealing in this case.
Never had that happen, but that’s very likely a violation of their hashgocha. You should immediately call the mashgiach and ask why they are not taping their to-go orders.
The way it works is when you place an order, door dash calls the restaurant, they do not know if it is for delivery or not.

it may be that a DD worker comes in and pays with his cc. why would the store seal something for any random person..?

I contacted the Vaad as soon as it happened. Their policy allowed for it for small orders (they said for one sandwich or something) but they agreed that the establishment needed a reminder of policies as our order was bigger.
unbelievable dan how do you keep track of all the refferalls from door dash,to grubhub,silvercar, and a myriad of others and avoid expiration of credits? you probably don’t pay a dime for ubers,lifts, and takeout food

$15 free is nice for one time, but this doesn’t seem like a good place to order after the free discount. $4 surcharge for meals under $20 PLUS 10% PLUS delivery fee of $4-$8 ??? Order a $14 meal and you’re out more money in fees.
Cheaper to use UBEREats…$4.99 fee and that’s it. Most of the NYC kosher places here in Manhattan are also on uber Eats

Forgot to mention: I saw the small order fee because my total was under $10, so I added a bottle of water which actually cost the same or less than the small order fee.
I ordered $11 of food. After all the fees, I ended up paying less than $4. I’d say that’s a good deal for any kosher lunch.

Seems that the fees vary from restaurant to restaurant. My small order fee was eliminated when I ordered more than $10 of food. Delivery fee was $2.99.
